Brazil is expected to face a significant reduction in suitable areas for growing Arabica coffee due to climate change in the coming decades. Studies by Unesp and federal institutes indicate that even in the most optimistic scenarios, these areas could decrease by more than 50% by 2060. Arabica coffee production, particularly sensitive to climatic variations, is threatened by rising temperatures and changes in precipitation patterns.

Currently, about 8.72% of Brazil's territory is suitable for growing Arabica coffee, but projections show that this area could be drastically reduced. The most affected regions include Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and Paraná, which are already facing significant challenges due to heatwaves and below-normal rainfall. These climatic changes not only affect production but could also have serious economic and social impacts, considering that Brazil is one of the largest coffee producers and exporters in the world.

At EllerS Coffee, we are aware of these projections and committed to developing strategies to mitigate these impacts. Investing in technology, sustainable agricultural practices, and adapting to new climatic conditions are essential to ensure the continued production of high-quality coffee. With a keen eye on global trends and a commitment to innovation, we are ready to face environmental challenges and maintain Brazil's leadership in the global coffee market.
