On December 11, EllerS Coffee had the honor of participating in the Awards Ceremony for the Coffee Quality Competition – Emater, an event that brought together the best coffees of Minas Gerais in a celebration of quality and the dedication of the state’s producers. Held at the EMATER headquarters in Belo Horizonte, the ceremony highlighted the diversity and excellence of Minas Gerais' coffee beans, recognizing producers from various regions.

The standout of this edition was the Alto Caparaó region, which shone brightly by winning awards across several categories. A local family took the podium at least seven times, receiving titles for the best coffee in different categories, including natural and pulped natural coffees. This achievement reinforces Alto Caparaó’s prominent position in the specialty coffee landscape, renowned for the exceptional quality of its production.

The event featured over 800 coffee samples, which underwent three rigorous evaluation stages before the winners were selected. Organized by Emater Minas with support from Cabral Specialty Coffees, the competition was sponsored by the Verdemar supermarket chain, which also announced that the award-winning coffees will be available in its stores, connecting consumers directly with the finest beans from Minas Gerais.

The EllerS Coffee team, represented by Mateus Eller, had the privilege of participating in the selection process as a sensory judge during the three evaluation stages. Mateus highlighted the positive impact of the event on the specialty coffee market and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the recognition of local producers. "It was an enriching experience that provided an even broader perspective on the quality and diversity of specialty coffees in Minas Gerais," he stated.
